Band SHIRT ART SHOW

MerchFriends, Hello Merch, WASTOIDS Present: A Band Shirt Art Show at Hello Lincoln

In celebration of the third annual Band Shirt Day campaign, Hello Lincoln is hosting a band shirt art show open to the public on Friday, September 20th from 5-9 PM. On display will be rare vintage shirts from the official Weezer archive, North Carolina’s Tannis Root screenprinters, Easy Partners, the Hello Merch vault, and local collectors including Dana Armstrong of The Dirty Drummer, TK Nicholson of Recordbar Radio, and Jade Noble of Linger Longer Lounge. And because it’s a party, there will also be a special Band Shirt Day signature beer brewed by The Shop in Tempe, Arizona.

“Band shirts are a simple, everyday object, but they have a lot of meaning—whether it’s a treasured vintage find, a concert souvenir, or something you bought from a band’s merch table after a show,” says Sam Means, Hello Merch founder, Band Shirt Day figurehead, and ½ of The Format, who are official Band Shirt Day 2024 artists. “By hosting this special art show, we’re also saying these things are pieces of art themselves—they represent the connection between bands and their fans.”

The Band Shirt Day art show will feature rare, early, and exclusive tees from artists like Weezer, Stereolab, The Muffs, Black Flag, The Ramones, Fleetwood Mac, Kenny Loggins, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Sonic Youth, and more.

Band Shirt Day has helped raise over 30k for organizations around the world through individual contributions and the official BSD GoFundMe.

2024 artists include Portugal. The Man, Wilco, The Revivalists, Cherry Glazerr, Geese, Warren G, and more. Join us at Hello Lincoln’s recently refurbished historic downtown warehouse for beer, music, and shirts you’re not going to see anywhere else.
